Repeatability accuracy detection
This test evaluates the machine tool’s ability to repeatedly locate the same target position under identical conditions.
The main method involves measurements at three arbitrary positions near the midpoint and both ends of each axis’s travel:
- Each position is located using rapid traverse.
- The positioning is repeated seven times under identical conditions. The stopping position values are measured, and the maximum difference in readings is calculated.

Half of the largest difference among the three positions, with a positive or negative sign, is taken as the repeatability accuracy of that axis.
It is the most fundamental indicator reflecting the stability of axis motion accuracy.
