Daily Maintenance Details of CNC Machining Centers Ⅱ

To improve processing efficiency, regular lubrication is the key.

Engine oil plays a critical role in lubrication in machine tools.

Many machine tool components, such as the spindle, guideways, screws, and gears, experience significant increases in friction when operating without engine oil, impacting operational efficiency.

Take the spindle of a machine tool as an example. During high-speed rotation, engine oil normally forms a film between the shaft and bearings, separating them and reducing direct metal-to-metal contact.

Once the oil is depleted, dry friction between the shaft and bearings occurs, accelerating wear and reducing surface precision.

In severe cases, this can even lead to shaft neck strain and bearing ball breakage, significantly shortening component life.

To avoid this problem, regularly check the quality and quantity of lubricating oil during daily use and refill or replace it promptly.

Also, regularly check the lubrication system’s grease lines for unobstructed flow, the oil gauge for normal operation, and any lubrication points requiring additional maintenance.
